1.  No refunds once the class has started. Pre-show refund if horse is injured or ill. (Processing
    fee non-refundable). No exceptions!!!  We will allow substitution of another horse for the
    duration of the series if your horse is injured. Must have a vet release or be  inspected by 2
    MCHC board members.
    2.  Nomination fee must be paid before contestant rides or time will not be included in the
    series.  
    3.  Entries will be taken until last 25 riders in each class.
    4.  Youth will be allowed to carry over times to the Open Class.
    5.  No switching of draw positions.
    6.  All reruns will be at the decision of the Arena Director. Rerun will be on a fresh drag. Arena
    Director’s decisions are FINAL. Timer must be working during the entire run. If the timer is not
    working and there is a barrel knocked over, pattern break or stop in forward motion the rider will
    still receive a rerun.  A horse falling during a run will not receive a rerun.
    7.  Failure to answer 3 gate calls will result in an Official scratch, no excuses. Exhibitions will
    also receive 3 gate calls and then be scratched. There will be a 60 second limit on exhibitions .
    A $5 penalty will result  for going over 60 seconds  Fee must be paid for class times to count.   
    There is just no way to handle this many entries and runs if you’re not on time and ready
    when it’s your turn.
    8.  A horse/rider combination may enter the race only once. You may enter as many horses as
    you wish.  If you own only one horse an immediate family member will be allowed to ride that
    same horse in the class. (Grandparent, parent or sibling) Rider may run each horse once per
    class.
    9.  Contestants will receive a no time for knocking over a barrel, breaking the pattern or stop in
    forward motion.
    10. Dress Code: Riders must wear shoes or boots with heels and long pants. This a safety
    issue. Contestant will not be allowed to ride without proper attire. If rider participates in
    improper attire, it will result in a no time.
    11. Number of places paid per division 1-12 entries: 1 place,13-20 entries: 2 places, 21-40
    entries: 3 places, 41-80 entries: 4 places, 81-120 entries: 5 places, 121-160 entries: 6 places,
    161-200 entries: 7 places,201-240 entries: 8 places.

















    12. 80% Payback of entry fees. 100 % of added money will be split equally between all
    divisions.  
    13. Payout  The jackpot will be run on a 4-D format.. The 4-D format will be as follows: 1-D,
    fastest time of the race; 2-D, fastest time of the race plus ½ (.5) second, 3-D fastest time of the
    race plus one (1) second, 4-D, fastest time of the race plus two (2) seconds.  If all placings in a
    division are not filled, remaining placings will be divided proportionally. Youth will be ran on a
    3D format. The 3D format will be as follows. 1D, fastest time of the race. 2D ,fastest time of the
    race + 1 second. 3D, fasted times of the race + 2 seconds.
    14. Exhibitions will be accepted on a ‘first come – first serve’ basis only.
    15. Class Qualification:  Nomination fee of $25 per class must be paid before riders time will
    be entered in the series. Rider must participate in 4 out of 6 shows to be eligible for series end
    awards. Rider must also have 4 work points in each class they ride in. (20 riders = 1 point)
    Anyone may work for you. When signing up for work points put contestants name only. If unable
    to fulfill work point requirements you may pay a $20 fee per class to acquire them. Due no later
    than 2nd show of the series.
    16. Youth Class is age 18 and under.  Age is determined by the first day of the competition
    year.  January 1, 2008.
    17. Ties: The rider who has competed most in the class. If a tie remains then the rider with the
    most 1st,2nd,3rd, etc.  Until the tie is broken.  If tie still remains, flip of a coin.
    18. The announcer and timekeeper must be at least 15 years old.  Neither shall be interrupted
    during a class. If an announcement is needed please tell the secretary or submit it in writing.
    19. During the barrel classes there will be only one circling of each barrel.  No- re circling
    allowed due to unfairness to the contestants in the same drag.  There will be a $5 penalty for re-
    circling a barrel during a class.
    20. Horse substitutions must be made in the Show Office 1 hour before your run.  No rider
    substitutions.  
    21. Series winners will be determined by averaging the best 4 times out of 6 shows and then
    placing them in the D’s
    22. Negative coggins required.
    23. Any rules not covered in this list will be at the discretion of the show director and or board of
    directors of the Magnolia Community Horse Club.  NBHA rules may apply.
