The Magnolia Community Horse Club is a not for profit organization formed as a
means to promote equine education and good fellowship in the best interest of
agriculture and horses among youth in our area. It is through our spring and fall
shows and other fund raising activities that we are able to provide scholarships to
local high school seniors.
The MCHC Board of Directors determines the number and amounts of scholarships
awarded. Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors who have an
agricultural or livestock background. Consideration is given to seniors who are members in
good standing of the MCHC and who are in the top ½ of their graduating class in the Magnolia
Independent School District or surrounding areas. Home-schooled students and non-
members are also eligible.
Scholarship recipients will be announced at the annual Magnolia High School Awards
Banquet. Funds will be paid directly to the educational institution to which the recipient pays
tuition upon receipt of proof of enrollment or to the student if the MCHC is furnished with
receipts for books or supplies.

- 1. involvement with the MCHC
2. academic achievement
3. financial need
4. essay
5. leadership ability as expressed through extra curricular activities and
community involvement
6. three (3) letters of recommendation
All application materials must be completed and postmarked no later than
April 15th of the current year and submitted to:
