4. Nomination fee must be paid before points are earned. Points will not be calculated and
maintained for you unless your nomination fee is received in the office. Any placing awarded to you
before your fee is paid WILL NOT COUNT. NO EXCEPTIONS.
5. Poor sportsmanship of rider, a rider’s family member, or associates of the rider will result in the
rider and rider’s party being excused from the show grounds, loss of entry fees paid, and loss of
points earned that day.
6. Futurity horse series award This will be a combination of the points earned in halter, lunge line,
and in hand trail. To earn this series award you must pay the nomination fee.
7. Our judges will be available at their discretion AFTER the completion of the show. Attempting to
discuss placing or the judge’s decisions while the show is still going on will result in the rider being
excused from the grounds. This policy is to ensure that the show continues to run smoothly. All
judges’ decisions are final.
8. Please address all questions to the office personnel. Any disputes over points, placing, or any
other matter will be discussed with the director and a non bias member of the show personnel in
private.
9. Protests will require a $75 non refundable fee. Fee and written protest are due to the show
manager before the close of the protested show. MCHC Board of Directors will review the protest at
their monthly meeting following the show. The protest will be upheld only with a majority vote of the
Board of Directors. If the protest is upheld, the resulting action of the protest will be in effect at the next
scheduled show.
10. PAC forms will need to be left with the show director when you enter and will be faxed the next
business day following the show by the director. They will be faxed to the PAC coordinator for APHA.
You can pick up a copy of the PAC forms at the shows with the show information already completed.
11. At the completion of the last class of the day (reining), high point/reserve high point will be
tabulated. We will not give you point standings through out the day. We will announce who the winners
are and where their prizes can be picked up. You must sign for prizes when you pick them up. If you
do not pick up your prize it will be available for you to pick up until the last show of the series, after that
the prizes will be held for use at our next event.
12. Jackpots to be paid will be calculated as soon as possible and announced when ready. You
must sign for the jackpots when you pick them up.
ALL jackpot class will follow the following payout scale.
13. Points in each class has a maximum value of 6 points. They will be distributed as follows.
14. Halter points calculation. 1st and 2nd place weanling, yearling, 2 YR old, and 3 & over horse in
the sex division will return for grand and reserve. Each sex will compete for its own grand and reserve
award. Grand Champion will receive one point more than the highest pointed horse in the sex
division. Reserve will receive one-half point more than any other entry in its sex division except Grand
Champion. (See AQHA Rule 415g).
15. Novice western pleasure is based on the rider. If you are a novice in any association you may ride
in this class or have never won first in a western pleasure class.
16. Ties for series or daily high point Ties will be broken in the following manner. First, the number of
1st places won during the daily/series will be counted. If a tie still exists the number of 2nd places
won will be counted. This will continue through 6th place. In the event that a tie still exists a coin toss
will determine the winner.
17. Horses name on their coggins needs to match the name of the horse on the entry form and their
registered name if registered. A negative coggins is required to enter the show and must be
presented with entry.
18. Not knowing the rules of the series is no excuse. These rules will be made available to
everyone at every show. They will be handed out with each back number at our first show of the
series and available at each following show.
19. There are NO refunds. Only enter the classes you are sure you can compete in. If you or your
horse become ill during competition and cannot finish the classes you have entered a refund may be
issued at the discretion of show management, with verification of vet or doctor. You may drop or add a
class by filling out an add/drop form.
If you do not close your check we will close it for you. If you have a returned check you will no longer be
able to write checks at our series. You will be required to pay cash.
20. Once the gate closes on a class NO ONE will be allowed to enter the pen. NO EXCEPTIONS.
There will be three calls for the class. We will start the show promptly at 9:00 am (weather permitting).
Halter class books will close at 8:55 am so that we can prepare to start those classes on time. We
will do our best to keep you up to date with where we are in the show through our announcers. It is
your responsibility however, to make sure you get in your class.
21. Classes must be added before the first division of that type of class starts. An “add class” form
must be filled out and turned into the show office. NO adding at the gate. Example: If you want to add
Walk-trot you need to add it before 13 & under walk-trot class starts.
22. Peewee classes will be walk trot only, they will not be asked to lope. They cannot move up to a
class that requires a lope. Nor can a 13 & under exhibitor move down to walk trot classes. If your child
can lope it is our suggestion that they compete in loping classes.
23. AWARDS - Daily: At each series show we will award a daily high point and daily reserve high point
in each age division. Miscellaneous tack prizes will be given. They will be on display in the office when
you sign up.
24. Series: In each age division a series high point champion will be awarded a trophy saddle.
Reserve age division champion will receive a trophy buckle. Other awards will be given through the
top 6 placings. Overall series champion stallion, mare, gelding, and futurity horse will receive a trophy
buckle. Reserve in these categories will receive a monogrammed sheet, (Please note these awards
are tentative. If enough nominations are not received for a division, the awards may change.)
25. Any rules not covered here will be at the discretion of the Show Director and or Board of Directors
of the Magnolia Community Horse Club.

combination will be issued its own back number. Your same back number will be
